grena.nu has now been launched

Today, SUHF’s working group for open science held a webinar for the launch of the national platform for open educational resources. Grena.nu is now live!

Around 200 participants listened to the opening address by Ylva Fältholm, Vice-Chancellor of Södertörn University, before Jörg Pareigis, Library Director at Karlstad University, spoke about the prerequisites and working methods for launching the platform.

Other participants in the program included Anna Wolke, Librarian at Linnaeus University, and Markus Schneider, Project Manager at Karlstad University, with a contribution on experiences and lessons learned from the fírst steps of OERs in Sweden; Anna Lundén, Department Head at the National Library of Sweden (KB), with a retrospective on UNESCO’s recommendation on open educational resources (2019) and KB’s mandate regarding open educational resources and national guidelines for open science; and Axel Klinger, Chief Technical Officer at TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library, who, with his team, developed and operates the search index for open educational resources, OERSI.org.

Ida Qvarnström, educational technologist at Linnaeus University, then demonstrated the national platform, and together with Jörg Pareigis, answered several questions that had been raised during the meeting. Immediately after the launch, the first two open educational resources were also submitted to the Zenodo community for grena.nu.
